Time/Duration: 60 Minutes
No Of Sections: 04

Section I: English – (20 Marks)
This section consists of 20 Questions and each question carries one mark. So totally 20 Marks. This section consists of questions only in english. Here’s a detailed information on subsections in this section.

Synonyms – 2 Questions
Antonyms – 2 Questions
One Word Substitues – 2 Questions
Fill in the Blanks – 2 Questions
Passages – 8 Questions
Others – 4 Questions

Section II: Aptitude (10 Marks)
This sections consits of 10 Questions on Aptitude and each carries one mark. This section is totally based on Aptitude.

Section III: Reasoning (10 Marks)
This section is also similar to the section II and it also consists of 10 questions each and each carries a mark. This is entirely based on reasoning.

Section IV: Computer Basics (10 Marks)
In this section the basic knowledge on computers will be tested. Even, this is similar to the above sections with 10 Questions and 10 Marks. The Questions in this sections are very general questions on computers and what i came to know is they are very easy to answer.

So totally 50 Marks with 50 Questions to be answered in 60 Minutes. This is the pattren which i came to know in my enquiry, If anything here is wrong, you can report to me for corrections.

Step 2: After sucessfull search, If any vacancies found in the respective domain, in which the candidate who he is going to refer is Intersted, then he can go ahead and apply for the job.

Step 3: Referral should first upload the resume of the candidate in the Job Portal, It’s nothing but candidates registration.

Step 4: After sucessfull registration, Referral would get a automatic genereated mail from the HR Team informing that the reference is sucessfully added.

Step 5: Now, the HR team will review whether the Applicants resume matches the current job opening requirements.

Step 6: If all the credentials are satisfied then the candidate who is referred will get a Interview call for the corresponding opening.

Q: My referral is saying he’s not aware of this process, what should i do?
A: Please ask your referral to contact the HR Team in the company, they will guide him with the exact procedure.

Q: How can i find whether the companies allow referral system or not?

Q: What will the referral get, if he referes a candidate?
A: If a referral refers a candidate and if the candidate get’s selected then he’ll receive huge money from the company. In some companies it will be One Month Salary of the Candidate who got selected. In some companies there will be fixed amount of Pay. This bonous is given by the companies because of sending them a suitable candidate for the Job.

Q: Can a Referral refer any number of Students?
A: The Answer for this Question is both YES and NO. It all depends on the company. Some companies allows employees to refer as many candidates as they can, and some companies restrict.

Q: Will I get any Edge if i referred by a referral? Will it improve my chance of getting a Job?
A: To be Frank NO. this will not increase your chance of getting a job. If any politics is involved then you can get a job. But In most companies you’ll not get any edge unless you are referred by senior employess like Project Manger. If you are referred by a normal employee who completed just 1 or 2 years in the organization then you’ll not any edge, Please remeber this. However, there are some exceptions to this based on the company. Some companies will exempt the candidate from Written test, he will be forwarded directly to Second Round.

Q: What will i finally get if I’m referred?
A: All you will get is a chance to attend the Interview. This is not a small thing. Thousands of students are waiting for the oppurtunity to get a Interview chance and you’ve got it because of your referral. So, Please make best use of it.

Q: Will the above mentioned procedure is same in all companies?
A: The Answer for this Question is NO. This procedure varies from company to company. I’ve wrote this article with my experience and exposure. If any of your familymember/friend sees this article and says that this procedure is different, he is true since he’s working in that company, he’ll be aware of this process better than me because I’ve not been to all the companies to get you the exact procedure followed by every company. I’ve just given you a rough idea on how this procedure works.

FAQs CTS Careers Recruitment 2011 Interview Guidance/Questions/Pattren

Update #1:
I’ve received some comments saying that what i published here is wrong. Some students are saying that CTS will dispatch the hall tickets to all other branches. They are giving some priority to CSE/IT Students and all other branches will receive the hall tickets later.

So if this happens and if i am wrong, It’s a welcome note to all of us because every student get’s a chance to prove himself. I’m really hoping that I should be wrong and all other branches should get the hall ticket. Let’s hope this happen. I suggest everyone to please don’t loose hope because of this circumstances.

Update #2:
For some students the status of their application is showing as “Still Under Processing”, but they have already received the hall ticket. So Students who didn’t get the hall tickets, please be patient. Things are becoming crazy, anything can happen.

Update #3:
Students say that all the rounds will not be conducted on the same day. Only written test will be conducted on 26th and 27th of November. All the other rounds will be announced after a week. Please note that I don’t have any conformation on this Issue.

Very Important Update #4
I am receiveing a lot of queries on Venues of the Interview. I just want all of you to know that this drive is conducted in 4 cities on November 26th and 27th. They are 1) Hyderabad 2)Chennai 3)Pune 4) Bangalore. I’ve personally seen the hall tickets for Chennai and Hyderabad Recuitments, so I can confirm you that the recruitment is on those venues. I didn’t see the hall tickets of Pune and Bangalore, so I’m not sure on them. But, I’ve received comments from lot’s of students saying that they got the hall tickets for Pune and Hyderabad. We don’t publish information here with out any proof, so i didn’t metion all the venues in this article. Once I receive the complete details, I’ll update the venue details to all of you.

Q: I’m a CSE/IT Student, Still i didn’t receive the Hall Ticket?
A: I’ve heard that even some CSE/IT students didn’t receive the hall tickets. The only reason i think is their profile is not shortlisted. Since their profile is not shortlisted they’ll not receive the Hall Ticket. I’ve seen this happening to only a small community, Most Students have got their hall tickets.

Q: I didn’t get the hall ticket for this recruitment? Will i be considered for future drives?
A: According to my knowledge, YES. All students who didn’t get shortlisted for this drive will be considered for future requirements. Again this is a Probability, this can happen and this may not. It totally depends on the company’s requirement.

CTS 2011 Interview Guidance

Q: I received my Hall Ticket, What should I prepare for the Interview?
A: Congratulations!! You got the hall ticket and you got the opportunity to prove yourself. First all you need to do is clear the written test.

Q: How many rounds are in the selection process?
A: Usually CTS conducts 3 rounds in their selection process. So we hope the same will be repeated, but it can be changed to 4 rounds. Everything depends on CTS HR Team

Round 1: Written test.
Round 2: Technical HR Interview.
Round 3: General HR Interview.

If there is 4th round then it will be GD/JAM. Most cases GD.

Q: What will be the syllabus and pattern for written test?
A: To be Frank, No one will be able to answer this Question, because written test pattern keeps on changing and you can’t get assurance from any one saying this particular model will be written test pattern. If any one says like that please don’t believe him. Only CTS HR’s will be knowing the written test pattern. I strongly recommend all of you to please go through the Latest CTS written Question Papers. These papers will help you a lot.

Q: Where do i get the Latest CTS Written test Papers?
A: I presently don’t have any latest papers with me. I’ll try to collect and give it to you. Many portals are claiming that they have the latest CTS written test papers, but please don’t believe all of them there are some fake papers uploaded in the web space. Please don’t waste your time by preparing such fake papers. I suggest you to get the papers only from the trusted resources.

Q: What is the Expected Syllabus for the Written Test?
A: The common written test pattern will consist of Aptitude, Reasoning, English Questions. We don’t have any information saying that there will be any other separate section on programming languages. I warn you, even this can happen. So please be thorough with FAQ’s in programming.

Q: What domain should i prepare for the Interview?
A: I suggest you to mention only mention the domains in which you are strong in your resume. Even if you mention only one domain, it’s ok. Interviewer will test you only in the domain you mentioned in your resume. So please be prepared with all the frequently asked interview questions in the domain you mentioned. It’s very important. If you convenience the interviewer that you are strong in One-Domain you’ll get selected. Don’t mention multiple domains and get into trouble.

Eg: If you are strong in C, Mention only C. Don’t mention C and Java and get into trouble. Prove to Interviewer that you are excellent In C and you can solve any scenario in It.

Only if the interviewer stresses on other Language in the Interview, then mention the language which you are next comfortable with other than the domain you mentioned in your resume.

Q: What should i prepare for General HR interview?
A: This is very formal round and all the questions in this round are common in every interview. HR will just test your stability and attitude in this round. Here are some important questions, you need to prepare answers for:

1) What’s your expected CTC? (Very Important)
2) Where do you see after 5 years from Now?
3) Are you expecting a Long term career in CTS?
4) Are you planning for further studies? ( Please answer with caution)
5) Tell me about your self? (Old Common Important Question)
